Brixham Heritage Regatta
Classic Sailing generally have berths on competing sailing trawlers at this event, and sometimes you can charter the whole boat and race if you want or just sail out in the bay and take great photos.The Heritage Regatta happens every year on a May Bank Holiday Weekend and the best fun is out of the water. There racing around a course in the bay between the last remaining deep sea sailing trawlers for the George Cup….but there are classes for luggers and other size working boats too. Participating vessels are typically Provident, Leader, Pilgrim or Golden Vanity. Occasionally Grayhound pays a visit and races in the lugger class.
Torbay Air Show 2018
Brixham and Torquay host an international Airshow each year in June, and the air displays take place over the sea, so the best place to get an un-interrupted view is by being out on the water. The added bonus is you can also do your own posing by sailing around in front of the many spectators on Brixham harbour wall or Berry Head. Red Arrows, Wing Walkers and historic military aircraft are part of the display in the daytime, but you can still find lovely anchorages like Anstey’s Cove, a nice meal aboard and peace in the evening. Pilgrim and Golden Vanity have both created voyages around this event.
Dartmouth Music Festival
Pilgrim has a lot of short voyages and weekends where you can combine some coastal sailing with a bit of time ashore in the evening to soak up a waterfront festival. We cant think of a more lovely setting for a music festival than Dartmouth.

An annual event taking place in Plymouth Sound in August.
Dartmouth Royal Regatta
Any Devon voyage in August where your vessel intends to pop into the port of Dartmouth during the Royal Regatta will find you centre stage on a mooring in the middle of the river which is a great place to see the fireworks, or Red Arrows display. you might get a chance to sail down through the harbour as a spectacle for the crowds ashore.
